Sprint Distance Training Plan (Advanced)

This 8-week training program is designed a triathlete who has completed at least one sprint distance triathlon. It is designed for the triathlete to build upon their swimming, cycling and running skills in a sprint-distance triathlon consisting of approximately .5 miles (800 meters) of swimming, 11-15 miles of cycling and 3.1 miles of running . This plan includes more volume and intensity than the Novice plan and requires a higher level of base fitness prior to beginning the plan. Details of the training plan are given below and an 8 week plan is presented at the end of these details.
